REVIEW

Gert Kullamäe has 10-year experience as a coach, of which 6 years he has been the head coach in one of the biggest and oldest clubs in Estonia - BC Tartu. His best achievement as a head coach is the winning Estonian Championship in 2015. Every year he has been in Estonian finals and competing against VTB United League club BC Kalev/Cramo that has much bigger budget and way longer rotation. During the seasons in Tartu he only lost a few games in regular season in Estonian League. 2016 BC Tartu got to the Baltic League finals first time in the club´s history– no Estonian club has ever been there. In European competitions he led his team to important victories against strong teams like Foxtown Cantu, ETHA, Yuhzny Khimik, Antwerp Giants, Krasnye Krylia Samara, Saratov Avtodor, Groningen etc. In 2013-14 season he led BC Tartu Ülikool/Rock (Estonia) to the quater finals in Fiba EuroChallenge Cup.

As a coach he is really competitive and tries to win every game possible. He is a coach who believes in good team chemistry- for him it is important that players and staff have good working environment. He wants the team to leave everything on court, to play with desire and to feel as a one big family.

To sum up, Gert is a person who gives all of his strength and abilities to his favourite sports- basketball.
